Venezia Awaits Medical Test Results for Jay Idzes’ Return to Play

Vanoli and the team doctor hope that Idzes will be declared cured, so he can return to playing for the team.

Jay Idzes’ future with Italian Serie B club Venezia will depend on the results of medical tests which will be carried out next week. This was stated by Venezia coach Paolo Vanoli last night WIB ahead of the match against Sampdoria, Sunday (14/1).

Idzes was diagnosed with Venous Thrombosis with Pulmonary Micro Embolism last October. The condition of the player, who recently held Indonesian citizen (WNI) status, is getting better.

Venezia medical staff will carry out a final examination regarding the development of Idzes’ condition. A number of tests will be carried out in the next few weeks. Team doctor Filippo Vittadini said that Idzes’ case was quite complicated for the club.

“As we know, Idzes has a medical condition, not a sports injury, and must be treated from a different perspective. “A correct diagnosis as soon as possible can allow us to have a fairly fast and precise therapeutic pathway,” explained Vittadini, quoted on the page All Venezia Sport.

“Now we are at the point where we have to take the final steps to bring him back into the team. Next week we will carry out some final tests that can tell us whether the player can return to the team in the next few weeks as we hope.”

“Idzes is of course a complex matter, and for this reason we rely on external consultants who guide us in such a way as to ensure that the player not only returns safely, but that he is also available to the coaches.”

Meanwhile, Vanoli said Idzes’ development was good news for the team. The coach hopes that the 23 year old player will be declared cured of his illness in the near future.

“Idzes did not suffer a sports injury, and it has been treated, and a rapid therapy process has been carried out. Angiologists and hematologists guided us on this journey. “Next week we will do some tests and see if he can return to the team,” Vanoli said as quoted on the website Triveneto Goal.

“Idzes has a situation to evaluate, then we will see why there are so many of us, and maybe someone needs to come out. Let’s focus on the people who are doing something important. Tomorrow starting from a blank page, everyone has to improve and do something more.”
