UBU San Pablo Burgos has rescued a point in extremis against ID Caserío de Ciudad Real (27-27) in a high-tension match. A draw against a direct rival that allows the red and black team to maintain the lead in the league for at least a week plus nervousness from the Burgos team from the first minutes, with errors in attack that put Caserío ahead from the start of the match. The rival defense marked territory and demonstrated its toughness, with the people from Burgos finding themselves again and again with a difficult wall after passing in front of the goal.

A Plantío that presented one of the best entries of the season thundered and put pressure on a Caserío that was left with one less after the exclusion of Santano. The local team took advantage of that superiority and came close to being just one goal behind.
In the 50th minute, there was a double exclusion in the Caserío ranks, which lost Campanario and Moreno de la Santa with disqualification for the third exclusion. A double advantage that Burgos took advantage of to not only tie the game, but also take the lead for the first time. Although the joy did not last long and the men from La Mancha tied on the next play.

Three minutes from the end, Caserío once again took a two-goal lead and was ready to win the game after the exclusion of Pedro Martins in the Burgos ranks. Roi Sánchez said after the game: “A game that became very difficult. In the first half, we were not good at all in attack, especially in terms of shots against the goalkeeper. I think Giovagnola has been very good, there was quite a difference in the goals. In the second half, I think we were better in all aspects of the game except six against seven. We took a golden point, just as the game turned out: two down in the last two minutes with one less player. It is a golden point, we have believed at all times and, with the help of the public, because today the atmosphere we had here at the Plantío was impressive, we were all able to get a point.”
UBU San Pablo Burgos returns to the courts on Saturday the 27th and faces another of the category’s bogeymen: Barça Atlètic. The meeting will start at 7:45 p.m. at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
