Trophée Calvia: Simon Carr domine Aleksandr Vlasov

The first day of the Majorca Challenge – five “trophies” contested until Sunday – this Wednesday saw the victory of Simon Carr, who showed himself to be the strongest while the breakaway, which left early, went to the end. On a hilly course around Palmanova (150 km), the 25-year-old Briton from EF, dominated Aleksandr Vlasov (Bora) in the sprint, after Brandon McNulty (UAE), who accompanied them in the final, suffered from cramps .

This Calvia Trophy is Carr’s sixth professional victory, following on from a 2023 season rich in four successes, including a stage of the Tour des Alpes and one of the Route d’Occitanie. On the French side, the young Hugo Page from Intermarché-Wanty took 8th place on Wednesday.
