Suspended for 25 games: Tristan Thompson (MICHAEL REAVES)
Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA professional basketball league has been suspended for 25 games for taking banned substances. A statement from the league shows that the 32-year-old power forward tested positive for the growth hormone Ibutamoren and the painkiller SARM LGD-4033.
With the Cavaliers, Thompson won the championship in 2016 alongside superstar LeBron James. In the current season, Thompson is only a rotation player under coach JB Bickerstaff. The suspension takes effect with Cleveland’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday (local time).
