There are really only the last aspects left to define for the arrival of Buchanan at Inter: only the details of the contract and the salary between the Nerazzurri club and the player need to be sorted out. With Brugge, however, an agreement has already been found: 7 million euros plus 2/3 bonus for the permanent transfer of the Canadian winger. The operation is nearing completion, with the settlement of the contractual aspects, Inter will achieve the real objective of the January transfer window, necessary after Cuadrado’s injury. Buchanan was not called up by Brugge in the last two days of the championship, a further sign of a negotiation that is increasingly closer to a positive conclusion
A “multitasking” arrow for Inzaghi
For the Nerazzurri coach Buchanan’s addition will be invaluable for several reasons, first of all the player’s extreme tactical flexibility. The Canadian is in fact capable of adapting to different game systems and different positions on the pitch: he was born as a right winger, he can play the fifth midfielder in a 3-5-2 or the full-back in a 4-man defence, he can be a wide midfielder or also the pure offensive winger in an attacking trident. What is not secondary, he can also adapt to the left, and has an important characteristic: he knows how to jump the man and is very fast.
