“Thunder” Dominates Portland “Trail Blazers” with Record-Breaking Victory: A 62-Point Rout

“Thunder” defeated Portland “Trail Blazers” basketball players at home with a score of 139:77 (36:24, 39:15, 43:17, 21:21).

The 62 points is the fifth largest margin in league history. The team’s record previously was the 45-point advantage achieved twice in the 2012/2013 season.

On the other hand, “Thunder” owns the league’s anti-record, losing 73:152 to Memphis “Grizzlies” on December 2, 2021 and losing by 79 points.

It was the second heaviest loss in the history of the “Trail Blazers”, on February 2, 1998, they conceded the superiority of the Indiana “Pacers” with 59:124.

On November 2, 1991, the Golden State “Warriors” also celebrated a 62-point victory, defeating the Sacramento “Kings” 153:91.

Shay Gilges-Alexander was the top scorer for Thunder with 31 points, Jalen Williams added 21 points, and Josh Giddy had a triple-double – 13 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

Enferny Simons scored 14 points for the Trail Blazers.

The next game “Thunder” will play on Saturday at home against Orlando “Magic”.

“Thunder” ranks second in the Western Conference with 26 wins in 37 games.
