They set hours for the culecos in the province of Panama Oeste

The Governorate of the Province of Panama Oeste established a single schedule for carrying out the traditional ‘mojaderas’delegating to the mayors of each district the responsibility of regulating festive activities.

For the four days of Carnival, the Governor indicated Sindy Smith The Carnival Boards must abide by the schedule from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm to carry out the ‘culecos’.

This schedule was agreed upon during a meeting held with security and relief entities from across the province, including the Ministry of Health (ONCE).

Additionally, the restrictions established by the Ministry of Environment (MiAmbiente) for the extraction of water by tank cars in rivers of Arraiján, La Chorrera and Capira.

According to MiAmbiente officials, the measure was adopted based on the results of the assessments carried out during the dry season and taking water treatment plants as a priority.

The only water sources from which water can be extracted are: the stream El Hatillo, Río Sajalices, Quebrada Corozales, the Chame, Mata Ahogado and María rivers.

During the meeting, Governor Smith emphasized those in charge of the police areas in this province apply, together with the civil authorities, the established standards.
