The pilot Carles Falcón dies after his accident in the Dakar

The Catalan pilot Carles Falcón45 years old, died this Monday as a result of the serious consequences that he suffered in the fall during the second stage of the 46th edition of the rally Dakaras reported by the Twin Trail Racing Team in a statement.

“Carles left us this Monday. The medical team confirmed that the neurological damage caused by cardiorespiratory arrest at the time of the accident are irreversible,” Twin Trail said on Instagram.

In the same note, they highlight the vitality of Carles Falcón, a “laughing person” and “always active”, who passionately enjoyed everything he did, especially motorcycles. “He left us doing something that was his dream, running the Dakar. I was enjoying it, I was happy on the bike. We must remember him for his smile and for the happiness he brought to everyone,” they added.

Computer engineer by training, motorcycle instructor and motorcycle travel guide “by passion”, Falcón taught “with patience, energy and happiness”. “He made everyone enjoy the bike. This is what he has left us and we will always keep with us, all those who have been close to him, family, friends, colleagues and supporters.”
