While the future of Kylian Mbappé still raises so many questions given that he will reach the end of his contract with PSG next June, the capital club may have to replace him. And the rise of young Bradley Barcola, who Luis Enrique really likes, could be a viable option at PSG.
Questioned in the mixed zone on January 3 after the victory in the Champions Trophy against Toulouse, Kylian Mbappé had maintained doubts about his future PSG : “I haven’t made my decision, I haven’t made a choice (…) My situation, no one talks about it inside the club, it doesn’t interest many people,” said the captain of the’French team, who therefore remains very vague about his personal situation. PSG could lose big if Mbappé was leaving at the end of the season, and he would then have to ensure the succession of his best attacker. But Luis Enrique perhaps already has the solution within its workforce…
Barcola, the chosen one to forget Mbappé?
Author of a very good performance Sunday evening with the PSG on the lawn of RC Lens (2-0), Bradley Barcola had notably opened the score, precisely on a service of Mbappé. And at the microphone of Prime Video after the meeting, the former crack of theOLrecruited for €50M last summer, spoke of his rise to power in PSG : “I have more and more confidence from the coach and my teammates so I can only be more comfortable and play better. My areas of progress? I think about ball losses and reading the game,” said Barcola.
A promising profile
It must be said that the 21-year-old left winger, who caught the eye of Luis Enrique last summer, seems to have the ideal qualities to settle permanently on the left flank of the attack of the PSG and thus allow us to forget Kylian Mbappé. It now remains to be seen what the future of the French star will be like, but also if Barcola will be able to confirm over time the same type of XXL performance as Sunday at Lens.
