One of the archers who wrote the history of Italian archery passed away today. The condolences of FITARCO and the entire archery world to the family

Sad news for Italian archery: one of the best Italian archers in history, Franca Biasioli Capetta, passed away today. The President Mario Scarzella, the General Secretary Ivan Braido, the Federal Council and the entire archery world express their deepest condolences to the family for a loss that leaves a great void throughout the movement. Born in Este (Pd) on 8 December 1936, currently registered with the Alpignano Archers, Franca Biasioli Capetta wrote indelible pages of Italian archery having been the best Italian shooter in the seventies after having established all the existing national indoor records and outdoors. She was the first Italian to go beyond the fateful 1200 points and her results led her to wear the blue jersey in two editions of the Olympic Games: in Montreal ’76, together with Ida Da Poian, the first Italian at the Olympics, where she finished twelfth and in Mosca ’80, the only Italian qualified, where she finished in 10th place.
His CV also includes 4 Targa World Championships (sixth in 1979), 4 Targa European Championships, 2 Indoor European Championships and the conquest of gold at the Mediterranean Games in Split ’79.
