It has long been clear that the NFL will come back to Germany in 2024. However, it was previously unclear which team would play one of its home games in Munich.
The NFL returns to Munich next season. Last year, the league played two games in Frankfurt, after the first Germany game in history was played in Munich in 2022.
And 2024 will also be historic: The Carolina Panthers and their 2023 top pick Bryce Young will play in Germany for the first time.
However, it is not yet known who will be the opponents in Munich’s Allianz Arena.
There are a total of nine teams to choose from. In addition to the division rivals (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints), the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Arizona Cardinals or the Cincinnati Bengals could also travel to Munich.

The Panthers themselves are really looking forward to their “away game”. Owner David Tepper stated via his own homepage: “It is an honor for the Carolina Panthers to play in Munich in 2024. This game means more to us than just playing internationally.
