The New York Knicks Targeting Malcolm Brogdon and Alec Burks to Strengthen Second Unit

The rumors continue around the Knicks, and offers apart from Bruce Brown, the management would have set its objective to reinforce the second unit in two names: Malcolm Brogdon, from Portland, and Alec Burks, an old acquaintance of the franchise and currently with the Pistons .

It is known that the Blazers have him on the market for Brogdon, and in exchange for him they hope to be able to get something out of him. And in the same situation is Burks, who would also have the “transferable” sign and is also expiring.

The Portland point guard still has to earn this season and an additional one valued at $45 million. For his part, Burks is charging around $10 million.

Possible bargaining chips? The usual ones. Evan Fournier, young Quentin Grimes and future rounds of the Draft.

Both Brogdon and Burks have been Thibodeau’s requests. Brogdon to make up for Quickley’s loss in management and Sixth Man roles, and Burks, much to the coach’s taste, to contribute scoring from the bench.

Burks is like a shot in this January 2024 with figures of 20.4 points in just 25 minutes of play with 51% on field goals and 51% on three-pointers.
