The NBA Trade Deadline: Who Will Make a Move?

The trade deadline is approaching more and more and at the moment there are still more than a few teams that still have to fix their roster. There is no shortage of big names on the market and with them also the interest of the various teams who for one reason or another need to shake up their season. So, what better way to do this than with a star signing?

In two appointments we will see what the fifteen most attractive players on the market and what are the teams that most need to do somethingbuying or selling these players.

Let’s start with the first players in this personal ranking, which we will use as a starting point to also talk about some of the teams that most need to move before the deadline of February 8th.

15. Andrew Wiggins

Unfortunately for him, Wiggins is probably living there worst season of his career: he has never scored so little since being in the NBA and is also at an all-time low in terms of assists. His playing time this year has decreased drastically, reaching just 26 minutes, 6 less than last year. As a result, Wiggins could potentially become more useful as a trade piece than a roster member for Golden State.

Golden State

Wiggins’ numbers are currently perfectly in line with those of the Warriors. The San Francisco franchise has an urgent need to act on the market to try to find the right solution, so as to transform a a unsuccessful season for now (currently out of the playoffs with 18 wins and 22 losses) in a playoff season at least. The front office said he is on the Warriors roster no one is untransferable outside of Curry, who said it would be crazy to hope things change without moving on the market.

14. Chris Paul

At the Warriors, another potentially interesting name is that of Chris Paul, who finds himself with the expiring contract next season. For this reason, the Warriors could take advantage of it and exchange Chris Paul, on whom the Lakers and Raptors are interested.

Los Angeles Lakers

We remain in California but move to Los Angeles, where we find the Lakers in great difficulty. We had already told you about the crisis they are experiencing and the need to fix their rotations. If they want to change direction in their season (which now sees them wavering between tenth and eleventh place) it would be better to move before February 8th, the closing date of the transfer window.

13. D’Angelo Russell

D’Angelo Russell could be the one to lose his place in the team to the Lakers, protagonist of a first half of too fluctuating season and with a contract expiring at the end of next year.
