Giovanni Maddaloni was born in Naples on 13 September 1956, he was a Judo athlete who became regional champion in ’78 together with his team. He participated in the finals of the Italian championships in 79/80, finishing 7th in 79 and 6th in 80. Since 1988 he has been a teacher and technical director of the company Star Judo Club of Scampia, where in addition to growing sporting talents, it deals with social projects. He has brought numerous athletes to the podium, nationally and in Europe, from youth to senior classes. On Instagram – whose profile is called giannimaddaloni – he is followed by over 3000 followers: he shares shots mainly related to Judo. Pino was born when I was 20 and when he won his first youth title I was 32. We grew up together. Today he is the manager of Fiamme Oro, every now and then he comes to visit us in the gym. Marco brings me his son Giovanni, a green belt in judo, he enjoys himself and is good. Laura has her own gym, one of her twins does judo and the other does boxing. I am a grandfather of eight grandchildren.
