The first step toward forming the Raketa Foundation

After receiving a Minturn racket as a gift from an acquaintance, I immediately called my friend who is currently playing Minturn.
“How long have you been learning minton?” “(Friend) Oh, I’ve been doing it for about 9 months. Why do you start?” “You gave me a racket, so should I take lessons first? I’m confident when it comes to exercise, but it’s definitely not going to be easy to start~”” (Friend) ) That’s right, you need to take lessons for more than a year, but try starting 3 months first~” “Okay, I understand. I’ll register and contact you.”
While looking for a well-equipped badminton court near my house, I found the right place and signed up for minton lessons with my junior. On the first day, I was half excited, half nervous, half confident.. Just one minute after starting the lesson with the coach, my legs and arms were shaking. there was. (Tattered) I was breathing heavily and could no longer move even when a shuttlecock flew by. It was to the point where I couldn’t hit a short and easy cock. The minturn I knew wasn’t like this… Was minturn this hard, fast, and rough exercise?
That evening, I called my friend. He summed it up for me in one heavy word. “Everyone thinks they are good at minton, but there are not many people who understand and play it better than you think. The more you learn, the more difficult and fun it seems to be.”
He said, “Three months is a lot of time and you have to play at least 100 games. I support your growth.”
My friend is amazing. It’s amazing that he has endured this process and continued taking lessons and exercising for 9 months.
I think about the greatness of doing something consistently. For me, reading is that. (The Ten Book Project is still in progress) I thought Minturn would be like that too. I thought it was easy, but the more you learn, the more difficult it is. Although it is familiar, it is a really fast exercise.
Life in clubs and gyms is not generous to beginners. (It’s even more difficult if you don’t have any friends to start with) I started thinking that anything would be difficult if I had an extreme E personality, but… whether I or E, it’s difficult for us to get along with new people. We have a lesson, so let’s try our best to say hello and become friends.. Okay, let’s go out today as well. If it accumulates like this every day… I too will become a person who can ask someone to treat me once.. haha
At the gym, I take a seat near one corner, greet people, warm up, and have an intense yet sad look in my eyes that says, “I’m here alone, so please join me.”
When a familiar face comes by, they greet you warmly and ask you to play Nanta (a light rally used to warm up before the start of a game) or ask them to be your game partner. (It’s really hard to speak at first… We’re all timid in front of strangers) If you’re talented, you’re like an older brother or older sister to beginners like us. Haha (isn’t that a natural feeling? haha) I am grateful when I see high-level members who talk warmly and play games with me.
<>When you first start, you are classified as beginner (E) level. Period and experience do not matter, and if you participate in a national or regional competition as a group E (beginner) in your 20s, 30s, or 40s by age, and win, you will be in group D. And once you make it to Group D, you can no longer participate in the competition as a beginner level, and you can compete in Group D. In this way, through national and regional competitions every year, if you pass the finals (promotion), you will advance to a higher level. There is news that there are many beginners (those with skills above Group D) who are currently stagnating because it was not easy to hold the competition due to the coronavirus.
There was a time when everyone was a beginner at Minton.. It’s about understanding the mind of a beginner. The heart of those who endure…
I endure and endure like that. It’s already been a month since I started like that… I’m working hard and persevering and learning and growing. I express my sincere gratitude and respect to the Minton brothers (actually most of them are younger brothers) who are with me haha.
We were always beginners. We were beginners in life. We were beginners in life. We were first time fathers and first time someone’s son.
Is there anything you need to say to those taking their first steps? Perhaps you came alone? Do you want to hit me hard? Would you like to play a game together? This is what I’m saying. I promise that if I become a skilled person, I won’t turn away from those eyes.
I want to have fun and play a leisurely game of Minturn. I’m sure that will happen someday. I plan to continue living a healthy Minturn life while being greedy.
I’m starting to get greedy for equipment… hmm…
