Yerson Candelo was released from Aucas of Ecuador, and immediately Millonarios and Junior, champions of the 2023 Leagues, looked for him in Colombia to have him as a brand new signing for the 2024 Conmebol Libertadores Cup.

However, the 31-year-old winger or full-back refused to return to Colombian football, no matter how tempting the offers were, and decided to continue abroad, so he will play in Brazilian football.

Candelo was announced as a reinforcement for Criciúma, with whom he signed a one-year contract. His challenge is great, as he will compete in Brasileirão 2024 with a newly promoted team, so the big objective is to maintain the category.
