As is traditional, the Club Arqueros San Jorge organizes the Cayetano Martínez Congregado Tournament, in honor of one of its founders who, for many years, promoted the sport of archery and its athletes, from his position as president. “It is an honor for the members of this club to dedicate this tribute to his selfless work and the affection that he always showed towards the goalkeepers and members of the club,” can be read on the website of the historic regional sports entity, which has given goalkeepers Extremadurans of the highest level like Juan Carlos Holgado, Sharp Fatima or ‘Yiyo’ Fernandez.
The tournament is approved by World Archery so it will be valid for obtaining RFETA (Royal Spanish Archery Federation) rewards and WA (World Archery) rewards, remembers San Jorge.
