Teenager dies when he jumps from a burning bus

A 17-year-old teenager died on the night of January 16, when she jumped from a bus that was on fire at the bus stop in front of the community of Villa del Caribe, district of Cristóbal Este, Transístmica Highway in Colón.

The bus was heading towards the city of Colón, when at this point it suffered the mishap (smoke began to emanate from its interior), so the passengers, in desperation, for fear of getting burned, tried to get out of the bus.

It was at that moment that the teenager threw herself out of one of the windows and was injured on the pavement of the road.

The other passengers, amidst the pushing, left through the windows and through the door.

The National Police and the Colón Fire Department arrived at the scene to attend to the emergency.

The teenager was taken to the emergency room of the Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital Complex, where it was determined that the patient had a craniocerebral trauma.

Around 11:00 pm, his death as a result of this vehicular inconvenience was announced.

It was learned that at the time of the accident the young woman was going to a service at an evangelical church in the Los Cuatro Altos sector in the district of Cristóbal.
