Teenage Tragedy: Benjamín Carmona’s Fatal Accident During Miramar Storm

The strong storm that hit Miramar left great damage, but, in addition, there was one fatality. This is Benjamín Carmona, a 17-year-old teenager who died after suffering a severe blow to the head from falling into a tree.

“The death of the 17-year-old boy is confirmed. It was due to a falling tree branch. The boy was riding a bicycle, arriving at his house and suffered this accident. He was transferred to Mar del Plata where he died,” confirmed the director of Civil Defense Sergio Angelozzi in communication with TN.

The dramatic episode occurred in the Los Pinos neighborhood, on 66th Street between 5th and 7th. The boy was rushed to a hospital in Mar del Plata with severe trauma to the skull and chest, as well as damage to the spleen. . Although he underwent emergency surgery, he unfortunately died in the operating room.

Benjamín was 17 years old and a soccer fan. Since he was little he was part of the Club Atlético Amigos Unidos de Miramar team, where he played as a midfielder.

Through their social networks, the club said goodbye to him with emotional words: “It is never easy to say goodbye to a person, especially when they are so loved and respected by everyone. Benja, there are no words to express what we are all feeling at this moment, just remember how magnificent you were, the camaraderie and responsibility that you put into every shared moment. We are going to remember you on a court, with a ball, because that is how we always saw you happy,” they wrote.

The post included farewell messages from several people close to the teenager who remembered him fondly.

Although the boy was transferred alive to the Agudos hospital in Mar del Plata, he had deep wounds to his skull and internal organs, and his condition worsened until shortly after he lost his life in the operating room.
