Swiss Olympic formalized its selections for the Youth Olympic Gameswhich will take place from January 19 to February 1, 2024 in the Gangwon region, South Korea.
“Two weeks before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Winter YOG in South Korea, Swiss Olympic, in collaboration with the federations concerned, made the selections for the multi-sport event. Thus, 71 athletes aged 15 to 18 will represent Switzerland, explained the body. The Swiss delegation will be made up of 39 women and 32 men and present in eleven of the 15 sports on the program: biathlon, Nordic combined, curling, ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, ski jumping, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding.”
Around fifteen French-speaking people will be on the trip. They are Alan Bonnet (freestyle skiing), Robert Clarke (alpine skiing), Lorenzo Rosset (freestyle skiing) and Valentine Lagger (freestyle skiing), Neuchâtel natives Aurélian Chervet (figure skating) and Justine Herzog (alpine skiing), Vaudois Nathan Dryburgh (curling), Yanis Dumaz (biathlon), Nour El Khazen (freestyle skiing), Maeline Triponez (biathlon), Aloïs Penchaud (freestyle skiing) and Nolan Gertsch (cross-country skiing), as well as Anne-Eugénie from Fribourg.
