Success at the Regional 18 Meter Archery Championships in Cantalupa: Arcclub Fossano Wins Big

Last weekend, the regional 18 meter archery championships were held in Cantalupa.

Around 350 archers from all over Piedmont participated.

The archers of Arcclub Fossano distinguished themselves, winning five gold medals, one silver and two bronze.

In the Olympic arch division Giovanni Streri (pupil class) won 1st place with 569 points, consolidating first position in the ranking list in Piedmont and tenth in Italy.

Dario Benedicenti (student class) 3rd with 513 points. Rebecca Manno (pupils class) 2nd with 536 points. Beatrice Streri 1st (girls class) also taking 1st place in the ranking list in Piedmont and 2nd in Italy. Giulia Rivoira 1st in the very young class. For Nicolò Bertero, Davide Busa and Giacomo Rovera 1st place in the very young team.

In the bare bow division Rosanna Mellano (seniors) amazed with a high-level competition, taking 1st place with 531 points, a personal best and consolidating first position in the ranking list in Piedmont and sixth in Italy.

In the master class Compound division 3rd place of the team composed of: Osvaldo Rocchia, Alberto Streri and Giovanni Viglietta.

The Arcclub thanks all its archers for their great commitment both in training and in competitions, the parents for their great availability and in particular the Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano and the Municipality of Fossano for their support.

Next important appointment in Cuneo next Saturday and Sunday for the last race valid for the Italian Championships which will be held in Pordenone from 15 to 18 February.
