In the games held on Wednesday evening, the basketball club “Sigulda/Modern house” achieved success in the National League and the Mārupe Sports Center team in the Regional League in a completely different way, but the basketball players of BK “Ādaži/Carnikava” experienced failure.
BK “Sigulda/Modern house” basketball players have finally managed to stop the streak of four losses in the NBL Eastern Group tournament. In the away game against the basketball club “Līvāni”, the rivals took the lead, the Sigulda team gained the biggest advantage in the middle of the third quarter (53:43), but immediately lost 10 points in a row. At the beginning of the last half-minute, the Lebanese team once again equalized, Toms Ķēdis put the Sigulda team in the lead six seconds before the end, but the home team’s response was inaccurate – “Sigulda” won 79:77.

BJBS “Rīga/Centrs” basketball players celebrated a crushing victory over the RBL Center group finalists at home by the Mārupe sports center team. At the end of the first quarter, their advantage was already 27:4, but at the end the difference reached as many as 69 points. Final score 119:52.
Ronalds Gunters (22), Roberts Chaunāns (21), Jēkabs Niedra (19) and Artūrs Kivlenieks (16) scored the most points for the winners. Marupians have 10 wins in 13 games and lead the group.
However, the basketball players of BK “Ādaži/Carnikava” experienced a loss at home against the lower-ranked basketball club “Cēsis”. They were in the lead only at the beginning of the match (3:2, 5:4), but in the middle of the second quarter they already lost 21:39. In the second half, the Adažni team reduced the 19-point difference to eight (65:73, 70:78), but in the last minutes, the guests again prevailed – 72:87.
Rolands Dovgjallo was the best in the ranks of BK “Ādaži/Carnikava” with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Jānis Ābols added 17 points and Richard Viesturs Cifersons 11 points. Đažnici have six wins in 11 games and a place in the top four of the table.
