Busy weekend for the archers of the 1st company of Châteauroux. Saturday January 20 and Sunday January 21, many of them took part in the Argenton competition and the traditional shooting of Saint-Sébastien (patron of archers) at the Margotière sports complex.
Among the beginners, the fight was tough and it was ultimately Louana Carreiras-Morel who won. As for the experienced archers, it was Éric Bouchlarhem who shot his arrow closest to the center. Both are crowned San Sebastian 2024.
Laurent in the footsteps of Lefranc
A good omen for the upcoming deadlines, with the departmental championship in Levroux this weekend and the regional championship which will take place at the Belle-Isle gymnasium in Châteauroux, on February 10 and 11. Without forgetting the French youth championship in Grenoble on February 24 and 25, where President Viel’s club will be able to count this year on Elisa Laurent, a U13 (youngest) who follows in the footsteps of Judith Lefranc. After only one year of archery, the one who has just celebrated her 11th birthday is ranked regional number 1 and French number 5.
