Stefano Tacconi walks: “Fifteen days ago I threw away my wheelchair and crutches. In the hospital I watched old Juventus matches” – Football

He entered the studio of very true walking, Stefano Tacconias he promised the presenter a month ago Silvia Toffani. “What a struggle, but it’s okay now. It was a nice Christmas, with the whole family we were guests of a friend in a very nice restaurant. I’m better – said the former goalkeeper of Juventus e National, suffering from cerebral ischemia in April 2022 –, even if it’s still not the same life as before, one leg still doesn’t work well. In February we’ll see if I’ll have surgery, a vein that’s closed in three places needs to untie. I don’t remember when the thrombosis arrived, perhaps during the coma. We will evaluate together with the doctors the best thing to do.”

Tacconi: “I stopped drinking and smoking”

Before his two entered the studio children males, Andrea e Alberto (he also has two daughters, Virginia e Vittoria), Tacconi explained that “the spirit is always the same, as combative as on the pitch. It’s all tiring, but I struggle. I do a lot of sport. I am moved more easily than before, I see life differently because it has passed me by and some very good doctors have caught me by the hair. I had pushed the rope a little too much, you have to listen to your body more and indulge it. My wife and my son Andrea – he joked – are my carers. I don’t smoke or drink anymore. Rehabilitation hurts, but I fight. One morning I woke up and decided to give up the wheelchair and crutches, it happened 15 days ago.”

Tacconi: “I rewatched the old Juventus matches”

The former goalkeeper also spoke about the long rehabilitation period. Especially of the first phase, the one in the hospital: “When you see the other people who are there, and who are worse off than you, you really realize that you had a safe escape. I watched the old Juventus matches, they energized me. Being a goalkeeper is a stressful job, if you make a mistake, 80-90 thousand people will boo you. Luckily I have often been good in my career, seeing myself between the posts helped me again.”
