Effenberg on “Sport1” about the emotional departure: “For me, as for many others, Franz was a very special personality. At that moment my emotions were so strong that I couldn’t find the words.” Effenberg played for FC Bayern between 1990 and 1992 and from 1998 to 2002. With the Munich team he won, among other things, the Champions League, the World Cup and the championship three times.
