Snoop Dogg comments on the Paris Olympics

American rapper Snoop Dogg will commentate on the Paris Olympics this year on American television. The US broadcaster NBC announced this on Sunday evening during half-time of a football game. “I’m going to bring that Snoop style into the mix. “This will be the most epic Olympics ever,” the rapper was quoted as saying in an NBC press release.

Snoop Dogg will provide “regular reports” from France – “from his unique perspective,” according to the broadcaster. “He will visit Paris’ landmarks, Olympic competitions and events and meet the athletes, their friends and families,” NBC announced.

“I grew up watching the Olympics,” Snoop Dogg said, according to the press release. Two years ago, the rapper and comedian Kevin Hart covered the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo for NBC. At that time, the two interviewed, among others, the swimmer Michael Phelps.

Snoop Dogg’s comments on the dressage competitions were also particularly popular. “That gave us several million views. That performance alone earned Snoop a job as our special correspondent in Paris,” an NBC executive said.
