Used by all Normandy trains providing service between Rouen and Paris, the Rolleboise railway tunnel is one of the oldest and longest tunnels in France with 2,6 km. This project, undertaken to guarantee the sustainability of the structure, is the largest investment of the year for the Normandy network, with a total of 25 million euros.

From January to November, 500 meters of tunnel will be treated this year, per zone, depending on the degree of priority.

The RER E extension project, in the Mantes-la-Jolie sector, which has already been underway for several years, continues in parallel with work on the Rolleboise tunnel. Most of the work on the two structures is grouped over the same weekends in order to limit traffic disruption.

A complete overview of the work on the lines between Paris and Normandy, in 2024, has been published on the SNCF website. Please note that the Pentecost weekend as well as the period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games are exempt from work.
