Sky is raising prices at Wow – the Bundesliga is becoming more expensive

Live football on TV is becoming more expensive again. After the massive price increases by the streaming service DAZN (the Bundesliga subscription rose from 14.99 to 44.99 euros per month in the last two years), Sky is now also making the sports subscription for the streaming offer “Wow” more expensive.

New customers will have to pay 35.99 euros per month for the sports subscription from February 15th instead of 29.99 euros. Existing customers will initially continue to pay the 29.99 euros until the current contract expires, but will then also have to accept the increase. On its own site, the company writes: “We know that price increases are never welcome, and we try to avoid them as much as possible while continuing to provide our customers with the best entertainment possible.”

Sky also says that the broadcaster, “like many other companies, is confronted with external cost pressure, which is why the price for the WOW live sports subscription will be reduced for new customers from February 15, 2024 and from the next automatic renewal will also increase by €6 to €35.99 per month for existing customers.”
