“I listened to what they asked and wanted, and I left the meeting aware that it was impossible to start any negotiations with them,” said Sirera, who said that Junts set the referendum and amnesty as conditions. In addition, he explained that he “assumes” that the proposal for the meeting came from Junts. He also assured that Alberto Núñez Feijóo was not aware of the meeting.
It is worth remembering that during those summer days, different popular leaders were very ambiguous when talking about Junts in public.
