Victim of a serious horse riding accident last May and placed in a coma for several weeks, Sergio Rico is now completely out of the woods. And the Spanish goalkeeper, still under contract with PSG, even indicates that he is regaining all his sensations and that he wants to return to the pitch as quickly as possible.
Remember, on May 28, the PSG was struck by a tragedy that was unusual to say the least: his third goalkeeper, Sergio Rico, was the victim of a serious fall while riding a horse, and was placed in a coma from which he gradually emerged three weeks later. Today, the Spanish goalkeeper is doing much better, and he is showing his desire to return to competition very quickly with PSG.
“I recovered 90%”
Asked at the microphone of DAZN, Sergio Rico even lets out a surprising confidence about his physical condition: “I feel much better every day, my body becomes what it was before. I think I have recovered 90%,” assures the Spanish goalkeeper, who therefore seems capable of returning to the field if his speech is to be believed.
Rico is determined to come back
“Resume my career? There is no other option in my mind. All the doctors told me that I could come back without any problem.
