Sekou Doumbouya Signs with Metropolitans of Boulogne-Levallois: Another Attempt at a Rebound

Little info passed a bit on scred yesterday afternoon, between two kids’ birthdays and a semblance of a nap: SeKou Doumbouya will sign up with the Metropolitans of Boulogne-Levallois, last in Betclic Elite. Yet another attempt at a rebound.

Drafted in fifteenth position by the Pistons in 2019, Sekou Doumbouya is not a basketball player, he is a coin. On the other hand, an incredible freak who demonstrated for a few weeks that he was capable of looking any NBA basketball player in the eyes, and we put LeBron James and company in the mix. Front side? A difficult human being to define, a professional not always… professional, no one is in his place so we don’t judge, but this side seems to have closed a lot of doors for him.

After two seasons with the Pistons, Sekou Doumbouya tried it with the Nets, with the Lakers (two NBA games), in the G League, and he participated in Monaco’s pre-season before signing up in September with the promoted Greek Maroussi… before the deal collapsed for x reasons.

Three months later ? So here is the beast again on the side of Boulogne-Levallois, which, according to Gabriel Pantel-Jouve should soon sign the former NBA prospect.

Sekou Doumbouya will make his return in #BetclicELITEamong the Metropolitans 92, last in the championship.

Sportingly the Mets have nothing to lose, they are last and half of the public present each week is still wondering where Victor Wambawamba, this big guy the world is talking about, could be. Potentially a win-win deal, between two parties who only want to regain their former glory, even if – we have learned to be wary with the S – we will still wait 1) to see him in shorts and 2) the first performances to really get excited.
