San Marino Athlete Mattia Beccari to Compete at 2024 Winter Youth Olympics

The 2024 competitive calendar of the San Marino National Olympic Committee opens with the Winter Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Gangwon, South Korea, from 19 January to 1 February. Skier Mattia Beccari will represent San Marino at the event dedicated to young athletes, who, after participating in the 2023 Winter Olympic Festival of European Youth in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, will have the opportunity to appear on another leading international showcase. Beccari will compete in two alpine skiing disciplines, giant slalom and special slalom. The San Marino athlete will be accompanied by the head of mission Gian Luca Gatti and the technician Daniele Plebs. The Winter Youth Olympics take place every four years, the last time in 2020 in Lausanne where Alberto Tamagnini participated.
