Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule Hosts Successful Cluzel-Dumont Challenge with Record Number of Fighters

Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. Nearly 150 fighters for the Cluzel-Dumont Challenge. For the 50th year, including a two-year interruption due to Covid, the Saint-Pourcinois Judo-Club organized, in collaboration with the departmental committee, its annual national tournament in the “senior” category, the Cluzel-Dumont Challenge. .

Without a doubt, the big tournament organized by the Saint-Pourcinois Judo-Club was a success, with more than 140 licensees, men and women, from different regions, from the Occitanie, Center Val de Loire or PACA leagues.

The 2023 edition attracted around 70 fighters. The new communication, orchestrated by the new club management office, has therefore borne fruit! And, icing on the cake, the public present was able to enjoy the participation of the recent 2023 French champion 1st division -66 kg, Kévin Azema, winner of the challenge in the -73 kg category.

The athletes from the Saint-Pourcinois Judo-Club did well during this tournament: 3rd Léa Perus and Léa Honoré (-57 kg); unclassified Juliette Barthoux, Jeanne Lafourcade (-57 kg) and Enzo Vito (-73 kg).
