Ricky Brabec repeats victory in the Dakar

The American Ricky Brabec (Honda) this Friday won his second Dakar In a two-week adventure in which he tamed the desert, he subdued the Botswanan Ross Branch (Hero), who finished second, and eliminated his rivals one by one to once again win the king of rallies.

Brabec, who already won the first rally in Saudi Arabia in 2020, won with more than ten minutes ahead of Branch, who challenged the Honda motorcycles and beat the Spanish Tosha Schareina (Honda), the Chilean Nacho Cornejo (Honda ) and the Frenchman Adrian van Beveren (Honda), but he could not do the same with the Californian motorcyclist, leader throughout the second week.

Thus, the general classification podium ended this Friday with Brabec first, Branch second and Frenchman Adrien van Beveren (Honda) thirddespite the Frenchman’s attempts to change his position for the Botswanan in the final stage.

However, despite recovering almost three minutes during the stage, the fact that Branch was opening the track gave the African a bonus of one second for each kilometer being first, which gave him almost three minutes that left the Botswanan second, with just over a minute and a half over the Frenchman.
