John Zurawel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved John. He will
forever be missed by his children, Ted (Karren) and Lesya (Frank). He was a proud grandfather
to Marcus and Rebecca and a loving brother to his sister Olga.
John was a very social person who had a wonderful sense of humour. He had the ability to make friends easily no matter where he was. As a young man he had a passion for baseball and all aspects of being Ukrainian which never left him. He loved singing, dancing,traveling, golfing, playing cards and watching endless hockey games of Marcus and Rebecca’s. In the last year he was very thankful and appreciative to those who helped him when he needed it.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ridley Funeral
Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W (at Fourteenth St. between Kipling and Islington Aves).
Panakhyda will take place at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday,
January 16 in the chapel. Burial to follow at Springcreek cemetery (1390 Clarkson Rd N,).
In lieu of flowers to make donations to the Parkinsons Society.
