Willan Pacho has developed into a top performer at Eintracht Frankfurt. Is Real Madrid now vying for the central defender?

Frankfurt/Madrid – Eintracht Frankfurt had a mixed first half of the season in the Bundesliga, with ups and downs alternating regularly. With reinforcements coming in the winter, the SGE must show more consistency in order to qualify for an international competition in 2023/24. One player who is already putting in consistently strong performances is Willian Pacho.

Eintracht Frankfurt hits the jackpot with Pacho

The Ecuadorian, who came from Royal Antwerp last summer for a transfer fee of nine million euros, had no problems adapting and immediately secured a regular place under head coach Dino Toppmöller. The national player has developed into a top performer and leading player for the Adler over the last few months.

No wonder that the defender is said to have played his way into the notebooks of several top clubs. Recently there have been repeated rumors that Real Madrid in particular are very interested in signing Pacho, as Éder Militão and David Alaba are out for the long term. Could Pacho take off again?

Real head coach Carlo Ancelotti now commented on possible defensive reinforcements. “We are not thinking about signing a central defender at the moment. We are of course missing two very important central defenders, but we still have two that we trust a lot: Nacho and Rüdiger. And in an emergency, others can do it well: Tchouameni and Carvajal,” says the 64-year-old from the Bild quoted.

Real Madrid initially has no plans to transfer SGE star Pacho

Eintracht Frankfurt fans don’t have to worry about losing the whiz kid again. Since moving to SGE, the 22-year-old has almost doubled his market value from eleven to 24 million euros. He still has a contract until 2028, but if he continues to play so well, he will probably leave the club sooner – but then only for a high fee.

Willian Pacho played for Huracán de Quinindé and Independiente del Valle in his youth, where he then became a professional. In the summer of 2022 he left his homeland and joined Antwerp. Just a year and a half later, he was playing in the German Bundesliga and was on the list for top clubs. A rapid development that is worth seeing. (smr)
