PSV Star Yorbe Vertessen Poised for 5 Million Euro Transfer as Club Eyes Replacement

PSV is racing through the Eredivisie this season and has not dropped a single point after sixteen match days. It also made an impression in the Champions League by qualifying for the eighth finals in a group with Arsenal, Lens and Sevilla. Johan Bakayoko and Yorbe Vertessen impressed.

The latter played a major role in qualifying for the champions’ ball. After all, he was decisive in the last two matches: at Seville he guided PSV to a 2-3 win with two assists and with a goal he gave his team a 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

PSV receives offers of 5 million for Vertessen

These may have been his last achievements in Eindhoven, because in recent days it became clear that Vertessen is aiming for a departure. He has only been a substitute for PSV in recent months and because Noa Lang and Hirving Lozano are fit again after injuries, his playing opportunities are drastically shrinking again.

A transfer seems to be gradually gaining momentum, because PSV watcher Rik Elfrink knows that both Toulouse and Union Berlin are willing to put 5 million euros on the table for the arrival of Vertessen. That amount would include bonuses. Vertessen himself would also like a transfer to one of those two clubs.

Replacement already in the picture

However, PSV still has to give its consent for a transfer and that has not yet happened. But it seems that they are preparing for a departure in Eindhoven. The search for a replacement for Vertessen appears to have already started.

Sky Sports reports that the Dutch leader has already inquired with Manchester United about the availability of Facundo Pellistri. The 22-year-old Uruguayan barely plays at Old Trafford and still has a year and a half left on his contract, although United do have the option to add another year.
