PSG in Pursuit of Right-Handed Central Defender: Diego Llorente on the Radar

PSG definitely likes files that are not the easiest to finalize in recent days. For several hours, it has been broadcast on the market that the capital club is in the process of finalizing the arrival of a right-handed central defender. There are not many names filtering through, especially since Paris is looking for an inexpensive solution.

Revealed by the L’Equipe channel this Tuesday afternoon, the track which leads to Diego Llorente (30 years old) is active. Loaned by Leeds to AS Roma since January 2023, the defender is an element who plays a lot with the Italian club (23 matches since the start of the season). Despite a slight injury, the Spanish international – notably under Luis Enrique (10 caps) – is the sixth player most used by José Mourinho. But Paris has very good relations with the Roman leaders and those of Leeds, where Llorente is under contract until 2026. The details of the negotiations have not filtered.
