Parma Baseball Signs Venezuelan Pitcher Andres Perez for Next Season

Parma baseball has concluded an agreement for the next competitive season with the Venezuelan pitcher Andres Perez who played the 2023 championship in Macerata, obtaining two victories and three saves against one defeat with an average per rating of 2.14.

Perez was born in San Joaquin (Venezuela) on February 8, 1991, he is a right-handed pitcher and also has a Spanish passport. In his career he boasts experiences in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Germany, Spain and Italy where he wore the uniforms of San Marino (2017-2019) and Macerata (2023).

Andres Perez played in the United States from 2009 to 2013 with the New York Mets and Los Angeles Angels organizations.

In 2014 he faced his first European experience by moving to Stuttgart to play with the local Reds and participated in the continental championships, obtaining a bronze medal with the Spanish national team. In 2015 he moved to Spain to play with the Porto Cruz Marlins with whom he won the pennant. During the winter months he always played in the Venezuelan league with the Bravos de Margarita.

The Spanish national team also used it in the 2016 European championships (Spain placed second) and in the qualifying tournament for the World Baseball Classic of the same year.

In 2017 he left the Iberian league and began a three-year experience with San Marino, earning himself acclaim as a relief pitcher. He ended the 2017 championship with an average PG of 3.98, that of 2018 with an average of 0.74 and that of 2019 with an average of 1.07.

Last year he returned to perform in the Italian league, contributing to Macerata’s successes.
