Pallacanestro Sestri is strengthening in view of the second part of the season in the Interregional Serie B. The Genoese club signs Leonardo Bassi, a guard and small forward from Forlì coming from Pallacanestro Senigallia.
A 197cm athlete born into basketball in Forlì, Bassi completed his career in the youth sector first with OneTeam Forlì and then with Pallacanestro Forlì. At the same time as the Championships of Excellence in which he took part, he also gained senior experience in Serie C Silver with Gaetano Scirea Bertinoro Basket, arriving this year in Serie B Interregional with the Senigallia vest.
These are Leonardo Bassi’s first words in a Seagulls tank top: «I am very happy to have taken this path. A difficult choice because I’m moving so far from home for the first time, but the club and my teammates immediately proved to be very good people and super helpful. Now there is a lot of work to do to achieve an objective on the field, because nothing is finished yet and I hope to be able to make an important contribution to the coach and my teammates.”
