The Parisiennes can still aim to qualify for the final phase after their draw at BC Häcken (0-0).

Paris FC, who are new to the Champions League this season, drew 0-0 on Tuesday in Sweden against BC Häcken, and no longer have their destiny in their hands after Chelsea’s victory over Real Madrid (2-1 ) to qualify for the final phase of the competition. Gaëtane Thiney’s teammates, 3rd in group D with 7 points, maintain a slim hope of reaching the quarter-finals. To do this, they will need to beat Chelsea (1st, 11 points) at home next Wednesday and count on a misstep from Häcken (2nd, 8 points) against Real Madrid, already eliminated.

The Parisiennes took a period to fully get into the rhythm of the match and if the first act was rather balanced, it was the Swedes of Häcken who obtained the two biggest chances, on a penalty saved by the Nigerian goalkeeper of the PFC Chiamaka Nnadozie (21st) and a hit post (34th). The scenario reversed in the second period during which Paris pushed and obtained the most dangerous chances through Gaëtane Thiney, Clara Mateo (57th) and Louise Fleury (89th).

But Nnadozie, player of the match, once again saved her teammates in added time, making a double save on attempts by Rosa Kafaji and Ruby Grant (90th + 3). The PFC must now hope for a poor performance from Chelsea against Real to give themselves the right to dream next Wednesday at Charléty.
