Nick Kyrgios Criticizes Umpire’s Decision in Wimbledon Commentary: “No Need, Ridiculous”

“No need, ridiculous,” said Nick Kyrgios in his TV commentary. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist is accompanying the first Grand Slam tournament of the season as an expert for Eurosport International.

He could not understand why chair umpire Eva Asderaki-Moore recognized a time violation by Novak Djokovic in the third set.

One could get the impression that the referees sometimes “got bored” and “that they want to announce something other than the score.”

The decision against Djokovic “completely ruined the flow of the game,” complained Kyrgios.

Despite the warning, the world number one didn’t let anything go wrong. Djokovic won the third set in a tiebreak and booked the round of 16 ticket.
