Next Dutch top defender on the way? ‘Tens of millions of commandments’

Fenerbahçe defender Jayden Oosterwolde is well in the market, according to reports from Turkey. Clubs from the Premier League and Serie A are closely following the 22-year-old Zwolle resident. According to the Turkish Tele1, Fener has even received a large offer worth millions twice.
Journalist Baris Yurduseven from TRT Spor confirms that news. According to the Turkish news hunter, clubs from England and Italy reported this week to the club management of Fenerbahçe.
An unknown Serie A club is willing to pay 15 million euros for the services of Oosterwolde, while an unnamed Premier League club is even willing to pay 20 million euros for the youth product of FC Twente.
Transfermarkt currently values the market value of Oosterwolde at 7 million euros. The central defender and left back is still contracted in Istanbul until mid-2027. Fenerbahçe itself transferred 6 million euros to Parma for the services of Oosterwolde in January 2023.
Since this season, Oosterwolde has been a permanent fixture at Fenerbahçe. Trainer Ismail Kartal has a lot of confidence in the Zwolle resident. Under the refined Turkish coach, Oosterwolde started as a left back, but since the end of October he has mainly been used as a center defender.
In conversation with Voetbalzone, Oosterwolde announced last year what his favorite competition is. “Where will I be in five years? Then I want to play in the Premier League and the Dutch national team! As a child I always watched English football, it is simply the best competition in the world.”
Although the competition is fierce at the back, Oosterwolde still hopes for an international career with the Dutch team. “I just feel like a Dutchman, so playing a final tournament with the Dutch team remains a dream.
