New York Knicks Pursuing Malcolm Brogdon: Winter Market Negotiations and Roster Updates

The New York Knicks, taking advantage of the Blazers’ visit this coming morning starting at 1:30 a.m., will try to negotiate for Malcolm Brogdon, say sources close to the New York franchise.

After closing the operation for Anunoby, the Knicks have not yet thrown in the towel, and in addition to the interest in Jamal Murray of the Hawks, they would have set their target on the veteran former Celtics point guard.

Brogdon, 31, is averaging 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per night. He has two guaranteed years left at a rate of 22.5 million dollars per year, and in the supposed operation they could offer the salary expiring by Evan Fournier, in addition to other pieces, such as Quentin Grimes, Jericho Sims or future rounds of the Draft.

It should be remembered that, after agreeing to the dismissal of veteran Taj Gibson, the Knicks are only guaranteed 14 first-team players, so they still have a gap in their roster at the expense of what may happen in the winter market.
