Things are similarly tight in central defense. Boey’s compatriot Dayot Upamécano will also be missing there for weeks with a torn muscle fiber. His partner Joshua Kimmich is out there for the time being with a shoulder injury. Since Laimer is also unavailable, homegrown player Aleksandar Pavlovic had to help out in the last Bundesliga game against FC Augsburg.

The 19-year-old, who had already shone in his appearances in the Bayern jersey before the winter break, even impressed with his first goal for Munich in the 3-2 win. However, it is questionable whether Tuchel would throw the youngster into the deep end in the upcoming Champions League tasks against Lazio.
