NBA Trade Rumors: Lakers, Warriors, and Hawks Eyeing Potential Deals

The Los Angeles Lakers are intensifying their efforts on a possible point guard trade. Dennis Schröder and other Raptors role players are drawing interest from multiple teams and the Golden State Warriors are eyeing a potential All-Star.

The trade deadline is getting closer and closer! NBA teams are only allowed to trade players and draft picks with each other until February 8th. A few weeks beforehand, the rumor mill was already simmering!

NBA: Golden State Warriors interested in Kyle Kuzma

18 wins and 22 defeats and twelfth place in the Western Conference – the Golden State Warriors are clearly falling short of their expectations this season. It’s no wonder that San Francisco is looking at options for upgrading the squad.

As Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports, there are currently several interested parties for Kyle Kuzma from the Washington Wizards, which also includes the Golden State Warriors. The Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs are also said to have inquired about the forward.

The Wizards, in turn, are reportedly demanding two first-round picks in exchange that have the potential to end up in the lottery – i.e. among the first 14 picks of a draft. Kyle Kuzma has averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 40 games this season.

Dennis Schröder is under contract with the Toronto Raptors until 2025.

NBA: Several teams interested in Dennis Schröder

As noted insider Shams Charania reports, multiple NBA teams have expressed interest in three Toronto Raptors role players. In addition to Dennis Schröder, Gary Trent Jr. and, above all, Bruce Brown, who recently moved to Canada as part of the Siakam deal, called.

All three stand out for their abilities at both ends of the floor, which makes them particularly interesting for title contenders. However, Charania did not specify which teams exactly were meant.

Schröder signed a two-year, $26 million contract with the Raptors in the summer. In November he explained in Interview with SPOX about feeling comfortable in Toronto. This season he is averaging 14.3 points and 6.5 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field.

NBA: Lakers and Hawks intensify negotiations for possible Murray trade

With 21 wins and 22 losses, the Los Angeles Lakers are still in danger of missing the playoffs. The Californians have been mentioned in connection with trades for a long time. But now a possible exchange seems to be becoming more and more concrete.

A few days ago we reported that that the Lakers have expressed interest in Atlanta’s Dejounte Murray. As Lakers beat writer Jovan Buha has now learned from The Athletic, those responsible for both franchises have now agreed on a framework that will now be explored further.

Austin Reaves, who has repeatedly been mentioned in connection with a possible trade, should therefore not be part of the deal. In exchange for Murray, D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino and the Lakers’ 2029 first-round pick should go to Atlanta instead. There could also be further draft compensation.
