In this opposition between the two worst attacks in the NBA, the Grizzlies got by thanks to 26 points and 10 assists from Ja Morant, author of a thunderous dunk on Victor Wembanyama! The Frenchman compiled 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks, but the Spurs’ 16 lost balls were very costly in the final stretch.
“Wemby” started the match ideally with two alley-oops on serves from Malaki Branham and Devin Vassell, but also a big counter on Ja Morant (9-7). Author of half of his points in the 4th quarter, Ja Morant puts the lid on the game for a 106-98 victory.

– Morant climbs Mount Wembanyama. With the Spurs on the ropes, Ja Morant stunned them with a two-handed dunk over Victor Wembanyama early in the 4th quarter. The All-Star point guard’s mobility and explosiveness surpass the Frenchman’s size and timing.
– So many blunders… At the break, the Grizzlies and Spurs had only combined 87 points on 40% shooting. On the one hand, the Spurs were already 12 balls lost. On the other hand, the Grizzlies posted a mediocre 5 of 19 3-pointers.
– One more injured. Already without Zach Collins, the Spurs lost Malaki Branham in the first quarter to a sprained ankle. It was Tre Jones who started the second half in the lead.
