National Center for High Sports Performance Hosts Training for Adapted Archery Team

The work of recruiting, training and developing new goalkeepers does not take vacations. And at the National Center for High Sports Performance (CeNARD), the members of the adapted archery team gathered for five days.

“This type of concentration serves to prepare the archers, already functionally classified, for the international archery competition to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, in April 2024,” remarked national coach Diego Llorden.

The sport is in its stage of development with a context of strong recruitment of new goalkeepers so that they can join the current members of the team in the future: Albina Torres, Mirta Rodríguez, Francisca Salazar, Emmanuel Vázquez, Jonatan Odriozola and Simón Chismak.

“The idea is to expand the number of athletes with the possibility of competing at a national and international level. And the competition allows us to give them a horizon to aim for. The dream is to continue growing to organize local tournaments that allow us to exhibit the integrative nature of this sport,” Llorden remarked.
