N2M – AC Plérin Braces for Tough Competition in N2 Division

N2M. Romagna (2) – Plérin (1), this Saturday (5 p.m.)

While the reserve team will be opposed to Palaiseau and its four numbered players, the first team, just promoted to N2, will challenge the Romagnon ogre, Pro A reserve. A gala match for captain Clément Marengue and his team .

Here you are in N2. How do you approach this first trip?

We start with very heavy stuff. Romagna comes down from N1, with players of the caliber of Brice Olivier (2,808). To be honest, we expect to be “torn apart” (laughs). Apart from Thibaut (Le Vexier) who played for a long time in N1, for the rest of the team, it will be our baptism of fire at this level. For years, we were in a position to be chased out, now it’s us who will try to perform, even if we have no illusions, this weekend.

What does the hen look like?

There are three teams that seem above the rest to me: La Romagne, Niort and Rambouillet, followed by La Ferrière. To maintain, we will have to beat Atlantique TT 17 (ex-Royan), a team that we know well and which like us is rising from N3, by far the weakest team on paper. Then, we will have to beat Angoulême or Saint-Médard. Anyway, there is a world of difference between the N3 and the N2!

What are your strengths in this championship?

We have in Thibaut (Le Vexier) an undisputed leader, and then three homogeneous players who have the advantage of knowing each other very well and getting along very well at the table and outside. This accession is historic for the club, I feel that there is emulation around the team, the spectators are coming back to the room, I hope that we will not disappoint them.
