Mexico sweeps archery team competition for gold at Central American and Caribbean Games 2023

Mexico continues with its harvest of gold in the Central American and Caribbean Games 2023 and swept the team competition archery.

First they were Alejandra Valencia, Aída Román and Angela Ruiz who won gold in the women’s recurve bow competition. They won the final 6-0 Colombia. They had previously surpassed Puerto Rico in the semifinal (6-0).

In the men’s competition, the shortlist composed of Matías Grandes, Carlos Rojas and Caleb Urbina They took first place by winning the quarterfinals 6-0 against Dominican Republic5-3 a Venezuela in the semifinals and 5-1 to Colombia in the final.

With this dominance, the Mexican delegation won the first two golds in the discipline where they are favorites in San Salvador 2023.

In general, Mexico reached 90 gold medalswith 64 silver and 59 bronze for a total of 213 and continue as leader in the Central Americans.
